Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LooksMax AI ("LooksMax AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the LooksMax AI mobile application, website, and related services. This policy applies to LooksMax AI on the Apple App Store, App Store ID 6775181414.
1. What LooksMax AI Does
LooksMax AI lets users take or select a selfie, adjust the face position, receive an AI-style face score and feature breakdown, view suggested improvement routines, and track progress over time. Results are for entertainment, education, and self-improvement support only. They are not medical, dermatological, psychological, biometric identity, or professional advice.
2. Face Data, Photos, and Scan Inputs
Face data we collect or process
When you choose to run a scan, LooksMax AI processes the face photo you capture with the camera or select from your photo library. The face data processed by the app may include the selected scan photo, face position/crop information, detected facial landmarks or geometry, derived feature scores, scan date, and scan summary. LooksMax AI does not collect face data in the background. Face data is processed only after you choose Take Photo, Choose from Library, and confirm the image for analysis.
We do not use face data to identify you, authenticate you, verify your identity, or create a biometric identity profile or face recognition database. The app's face analysis is for entertainment, education, and self-improvement support only.
Uses of face data
Face data is used to provide the app features you request: selfie scanning, face-score generation, feature breakdowns, AI-style scan summaries, routine suggestions, saved scan history, and progress tracking. We do not sell face data and we do not use face photos for third-party advertising.
Third-party AI processing of face data
Some analysis runs on device. If remote AI refinement is enabled and you give permission in the app, LooksMax AI may send the adjusted scan photo, local score values, app version, and a device request ID to our Cloudflare Worker and to OpenAI to refine the scan result you requested. This remote AI processing is optional; if you do not allow it, the app can continue with on-device analysis only.
Scan results and progress information
The app may store generated scores, feature values, routine progress, scan dates, and related history locally on your device so you can view progress over time.
3. Other Information We Collect or Process
- Purchase and subscription status: Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We may receive non-payment subscription status information, such as whether Pro access is active, expired, or restored. We do not receive your full Apple ID payment card number or full billing credentials from Apple.
- Usage, analytics, diagnostics, and device information: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes, and Firebase Remote Config to manage app settings such as feature flags, paywall settings, and legal links. These services may process information such as app version, device model, operating system version, interaction events, crash logs, diagnostic details, and coarse technical identifiers.
- Support communications: If you contact us for support, we may collect the email address you use, your message, and any information you voluntarily include, such as device model, iOS version, screenshots, purchase status, or app version.
4. How We Use Information
- To provide selfie scanning, score breakdowns, routine suggestions, and progress tracking.
- To let users adjust photos before analysis for more accurate results.
- To operate subscriptions, restore purchases, and unlock Pro features.
- To maintain app security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, and improve reliability.
- To respond to support requests and user questions.
- To comply with App Store requirements, legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. How We Share Information, Including Face Data
We may share information with the following categories of recipients:
- Apple: for App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and StoreKit services.
- Firebase / Google services: for analytics, crash diagnostics, and remote configuration. We do not send scan photos or facial landmark data to Firebase Analytics.
- Cloudflare: for secure backend hosting, routing, request processing, and rate limiting. If you allow remote AI refinement, the selected scan photo and related request data pass through Cloudflare Workers.
- OpenAI: if you allow remote AI refinement, the selected scan photo, local score values, app version, and device request ID may be sent to OpenAI only to generate or improve the scan response requested in the app.
- Legal and safety recipients: if required to comply with law, protect rights, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.
We require service providers to process information only for the services they provide to us and to protect user information according to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
6. Tracking and Advertising
LooksMax AI does not sell personal information. We do not use your selfie photos for third-party advertising. If future versions add advertising or tracking features, we will update this policy and, where required, request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
7. Camera, Photo Library, and Notifications Permissions
- Camera: used when you choose to capture a selfie for analysis.
- Photo Library: used when you choose to select an image for analysis or save/share generated content.
- Notifications: used only if you allow reminders related to routines, scans, or progress.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
8. Face Data Storage and Retention
Scan photos, scan scores, scan summaries, and progress history are stored locally on your device so you can view your results and progress. This local face data remains on your device until you delete the app, reset the app, delete local app data, or otherwise clear the stored scan history.
Remote AI refinement requests are processed transiently by Cloudflare Workers and OpenAI to return the requested scan response. We do not use our Cloudflare Worker to store scan photos, facial landmarks, or face templates after the request is completed. Backend rate-limiting and security systems may process limited technical request metadata to protect the service.
Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Remote diagnostic and analytics data is retained according to the applicable service provider settings and legal requirements.
9. Your Choices and Deletion Requests
- You can choose not to grant camera, photo library, or notification permissions.
- You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can contact us to request deletion of support records or other information reasonably associated with your email address.

10. Children
LooksMax AI is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International Users
Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal protections.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice in the app or on this website.
